 PEMBROKE YOUTH SOCCER

Pembroke Youth Soccer has been established and operates under the guidance and sanction of the Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association (MYSA). MYSA is the sole Massachusetts representative of the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) and United States Youth Soccer Association (US Youth Soccer). PYS programs have been designed and developed in collaboration with these professional soccer organizations to meet the following objectives:

  • To educate about the technical, tactical, physical and psychological aspects of the sport of soccer;
  • To promote an understanding of the cross-cultural and international characteristics of “the game”;
  • To encourage participation in youth soccer as a positive part of a healthy and active lifestyle;
  • To promote participation, understanding, and appreciation of the sport of soccer in the United States at the grassroots level;
  • To facilitate the development of important life skills imparted by involvement in a competitive team sport.

PYS programs have evolved with the American game over the years and continue to be dynamic and fluid as we seek to always keep pace with the growth of soccer in the United States.  PYS is dedicated to providing a contemporary and age appropriate program for each age group inclusive of the most current child development, athletic, and soccer specific knowledge available to us. Our volunteer coaches and administrators dedicate many hours to adapting and adjusting our progams regularly.

The age group specific pages that follow here help to explain the how’s and why’s of each of our age group programs. We hope you will take a moment to review your child’s age group page so you have a better understanding of PYS objectives and methods.

Thank you for being a part of the Pembroke Youth Soccer experience.
