In 1987, WCSC was estab-lished with three core principals:

2) SKILLS/TACTICS
3) FUN
TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Every Camper Matters: We care about each camper and his or her improvement. We have therefore created a curriculum to in-volve everyone regardless of ability.
“Learn Through Play” Coaching Approach: We believe that kids learn best through competitive games and activities with the focus on fun, challenge, repetition, creativi-ty, problem solving, and motivation . We avoid static drills and the “3 L’s of Coaching (Laps/Lines/Lectures)
High Expectations: Children will generally do what is expected of them. Therefore, our expectation is that all campers display outstanding character on and off the field.
BASIC OVERVIEW OF DAILY SCHEDULE
1) Skills and Tactical Training Sessions: Our Coaches use a variety of presentations, demonstra-tions, and drills in order to break down and thor-oughly teach the funda-mentals of the game. Our goal is to produce complete and exceptional soccer players. This includes teaching our Mini-Magic Moves, which are 1v1 moves. We want all our campers to play with flair, be ball magicians and unstoppable forces on the field!
2) World Cup Matches: Each camper is assigned to a team participating in daily, small-sided World Cup matches. This gives campers the opportunity to utilize skills and tactics learned each day and also enables coaches to evaluate and teach campers in a live match situations.
3) The week culminates on Friday with our Annual World Cup Ceremony and Tournament.
CARING COACHES
The coaches at WCSC are terrific and talented young men and women who possess outstanding character and go out of their way to ensure that every camper is involved, learning, and having a good time. Our coaches foster a good-natured rapport and
positive atmosphere that has our campers wanting to come back again and again.
